Auto-renewal for pre-warmed domains is off by default, so each domain is retired at the end of its registration. To keep your pre-warmed domains, go to Settings → Subscription and switch on "Auto-renew pre-warmed domains", or use the one-click link in the renewal email Winnr sends about 60 days before a domain's end date. About 7 days before that date, Winnr charges your card the registrar's renewal cost (rounded up to the next dollar) plus $1 per domain, and renews the domain for a year only after the payment succeeds.
How it works
Every pre-warmed domain has a fixed registration end date. With auto-renewal off, the domain is retired at that date and its billing stops. With auto-renewal on, Winnr renews the domain for another year so you keep the domain, its mailboxes and its reputation.
The timeline for a domain with auto-renewal on:
- About 7 days before the end date. Winnr charges your default card for every domain due that day, on one invoice.
- Once the payment succeeds. Each domain is renewed for one year. You get a receipt by email.
- Nothing else changes. Your mailboxes, passwords and sending setup stay the same, and the $3/address/month billing continues as before.
If the payment fails, the domain is not renewed until it succeeds. Winnr retries daily and lets you know, so you can update your card.
Emails you'll get
If auto-renewal is off, you get:
- An email about 60 days before your pre-warmed domains reach their end date, listing each domain, its date and its renewal price, with a one-click link to turn auto-renewal on.
- One reminder about 30 days out.
- A final notice about 14 days out saying the domain will be retired and its billing will stop.
If auto-renewal is on, you get a receipt after each renewal, and an email if a renewal payment fails.
Turning it on from the email
The link in the renewal email opens a confirmation page. Nothing changes until you click the button on that page, so a link preview or email security scanner can't switch it on for you. After you confirm, the setting shows as on in Settings → Subscription.

Frequently asked questions
Is auto-renewal on by default?
No. It's opt-in. Without it, each pre-warmed domain is retired at the end of its registration and its billing stops.
How much does renewal cost?
The registrar's one-year renewal cost for that domain, rounded up to the next whole dollar, plus $1. The renewal email lists the exact price for each domain. This is a yearly charge per domain, on top of the usual $3 per address per month.
When am I charged?
About 7 days before the domain's end date. All of your domains that are due on the same day are charged together on one invoice, and each domain is renewed only after the payment succeeds.
What if the charge fails?
Winnr retries daily and emails you, so you have time to update your card in Settings. The domain is held for up to about 25 days past its end date while the retries run. If the payment still can't be collected, the domain is retired, its billing stops, and auto-renewal is switched off for your account so the same card isn't retried for every other domain. You can switch it back on at any time.
Can I turn auto-renewal off later?
Yes. Switch it off in Settings → Subscription. Domains that haven't been charged yet will then retire at their end date as normal.
Can I auto-renew some pre-warmed domains but not others?
The setting applies to your whole account. If you don't want to keep a particular domain, cancel it before its renewal date. See [Cancel a pre-warmed purchase](/help/marketplace/cancel-prewarmed.html).
Does this affect domains I bought or connected myself?
No. This setting only covers pre-warmed marketplace domains.
